Casa Las Mariquitas is just delightful. It is very true to the photographs and extremely well equipped. The rooms and beds are very comfortable and spacious, we could not fault the facilities. The pool was amazing and we made good use of the gas barbeque with some excellent Spanish steaks (ribeye) with some excellent Spanish wine, all acquired locally. We were spoiled by the choice of dining and seating areas both inside and out.

The location is superb, within easy walking distance of the beautiful Frigiliana, slight incline so good for the calves. Nerja is a short drive away with an abundance of supermarkets. It has a very different feel between the north and south beaches/town areas. The north has lots of beach front restaurants serving a range of fresh foods. The fish was a particular favourite. The south has some excellent and highly rated restaurants. Restaurant Sollun was our undoubted favourite amongst many. The taster menu and wine pairing were amongst the best we have ever experienced. Mario the sommelier took us through a journey of Spanish wine and food delights, that guy is incredible. Whilst driving and parking was not a problem, (may be different high season?) the taxi service was reliable and of great value.

The villa is well maintained, and Oscar gave great advice and support during our stay, such a lovely guy, so helpful. You get the feeling of a very impressive management team doing a great job to a very high standard with this villa. The booking through Andrew and his support throughout was an exemplary example of how things should be done.

​

The final question for us is, would we go back, the answer is a resounding yes, and we could not say the same for many villas we have visited.

 In summary, this villa is amazing value for money, the layout, the facilities, the space, the pool, the management team support, the location, the local villages, local restaurants, the local supermarkets, the food, the wine, all excellent. What more can you ask for? Perhaps a longer stay? We will return.

Everything about this villa is exceptional. It is in a beautiful position, having views towards the mountains and sea. We had such a relaxing stay here. Andrew, the villa owner, was very helpful and easily contactable before our holiday; Oscar was lovely, there to greet us when we got to the villa, on hand while we were there if we had any queries and gave us some great restaurant recommendations.

 

The accommodation perfectly suited our family group, ranging in age from 6 months to 79, and was superbly equipped and well prepared for our arrival. We found it hard to drag ourselves away from the huge pool but when we did there was plenty to see and do; the little town of Frigiliana is charming and a short walk away, beaches are a short drive away and lots to see in Nerja and beyond. Definitely give this villa 5 stars and we all want to go back!

Two weeks after our return from an idyllic two weeks spent at Las Mariquitas, we’ve only just started to shrug off post holiday deflation! Our holiday in this wonderful villa lived up to and surpassed every expectation. The beautiful villa sits in a stunning location, it was spotlessly clean and equipped with everything you could possibly need.

 

Our party comprised 11 family members over 3 generations aged 5 - 66, there was plenty of space for everyone as the well designed accommodation is spread over 3 floors in the main villa plus a separate large pool apartment on the lower terrace. The pool is fantastic and where we spent most of our time during the day, most evenings were spent on the villas large seating area with it’s spectacular views overlooking the tranquil valley and mountains.

 

There is a local bus stop very close by which has prompt services to Frigliana, a very pretty village which has several excellent restaurants and bars and to Nerja, which is also well worth visiting. A post dinner walk back to the villa from Frigliana takes approximately 25 minutes. We arranged minibus transfers to and from the airport alongside hiring a car, which was adequate for shopping, shuttling to and from Frigliana and for golf trips. Andrew and Oscar were more than helpful, very pleasant and easy to deal with, Oscar was on hand for any queries and was a source of useful information.

What can we add - a beautiful villa in stunning surroundings, amazing memories made, we would love to come back and fully recommend Las Mariquitas as a perfect holiday location. Thank you so much Andrew and team.

Five stars! Amazing villa. Fantastically maintained. Ideal for larger parties as we were 3 families on holiday. Highlight is definitely the pool area. We would definitely recommend.
